We were at the offset of the Seven-Eleven Africa (PnP affiliation) launch appointed as the preferred supplier and successfully opened 13 stores in the first year and after a 2 year period completed 27 stores in total. We have been involved with major store revamps with numerous large Supermarkets ranging from “Spar” “Friendly Grocer” “Pick n Pay Family “ and Mini Markets. Similarly we have installed complete new plants with our most recent store being PnP Mahube MaxCity, which was another huge success with a state of the art New era Multiplex Plant.

We have through the years serviced numerous Spar stores in Gauteng region, but have as a result of change of store ownership had a reduction in the number of Spar Supermarkets our customer base mostly due to the new owner utilizing their existing refrigeration contractors.

We currently service some 10 Spar Stores and are very active with the Pick n Pay Franchise (Family) stores. We at this point in time permanently service 18 stores and do repairs to a couple of corporate stores.

Other projects include Cold Storage Facilities, Meat processing plants, Butchery breaking plants and self contained equipment including ice machines.

We have also have our sister company “Optimal Air” who specialize in Air-conditioning, ranging from Supermarkets to office blocks.

The business is owner managed and run by Mr. Derick Bantjes who himself has 23 years experience in Supermarket Refrigeration. He is fully qualified with an official Department of Manpower Trade Test Certificate which he attained in 1988. His experience includes – Hands on plant maintenance, Full plant installations, Running of service department, Running installations department and finally Assistant Branch Manager to starting up his own organization being COLD CURVE REFRIGERATION CC.

STAFF:

Our competent office staff, are available during normal office hours to assist you with all your technical and service needs. We have a fully operational accounts department for complete up to date handling of your account and have an up to date record keeping bases to facilitate keeping a history on your equipment. Our Technical staff, are carefully selected and are mostly trained in house by Derick Bantjes with the assistance of his well experienced Assistant Manager Jannie Jonker. Staff are also sent on regular refresher courses. Our Technical staff, are well trained and familiar with especially Multiplex Supermarket applications right from installations to maintenance and breakdowns. Our technical staff compliment at this point in time is 28 excluding the office staff .
